A SMALL EXAMPLE OF THE WORK

Know the figure.
Make the meaning clear.

The work goes beyond grammar: the measure, the period and the size of a change. Practise making a familiar business sentence precise.

LANGUAGE EXAMPLE · ILLUSTRATIVE FIGURES

The NPL ratio moves from 1.30% last quarter to 1.20% this quarter.

AMBIGUOUS CHANGE

Our NPL ratio decreased 0.1% to 1.2%.

MAKE THE CHANGE PRECISE

Our NPL ratio fell 10 basis points quarter on quarter, to 1.2%.

10 basis points = 0.10 percentage points, rather than a relative change of 0.1%.

HOW WE WORK

The work comes first.

One five-area framework connects the diagnostic, classroom practice and review.

01

Define the work

Start with the role, business line and upcoming tasks. A diagnostic or assessment identifies the situations to practise first.

02

Practise in context

Practise presentations, meetings, emails and negotiations with material prepared for the programme. Difficult concepts can be explained in Chinese.

03

Review the next step

Review against the same dimensions and agree what to work on next. Institutional reporting is defined in the programme scope.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before we begin.

What level is it for?

Working professionals in banks and financial institutions who read English and need to speak it at work. The diagnostic establishes a starting point. This service is for adults, not school pupils.

Can lessons be online or in person?

Online through Tencent Meeting or ClassIn; in-person teaching in Guangzhou and institutional workshops in other cities by arrangement. Locations, timing and travel are agreed in the proposal.

What reporting does an institution receive?

Attendance, topics and group assessment reporting as agreed. Individual scores are shared with the institution only with the learner’s consent. Data handling and reporting scope are agreed beforehand.

How is a programme quoted and agreed?

Start with your goals, timing and suitable format. Before enrolment, we confirm the scope, number and length of sessions, total tax-inclusive fee, payment schedule and rescheduling/refund terms in writing. A company contract and VAT invoice are provided.

Can we start with a small institutional project?

Yes. Discuss a 10-person assessment pilot or a first-project workshop before committing to a larger programme. Scope, deliverables and any follow-on arrangement are confirmed in the proposal.
